WebSep 14, 2024 · In a 2024 RAND Corporation study, RAND researchers developed a new method to measure income inequality. Webincome, consumption, and wealth, we also extend the analysis to examine them by social group, residence, region, religion, and gender. Although we examine these trends in detail for the last three decades, we extend the analysis to earlier decades wherever data permits. Section 2 presents trends in inequality based on the standard indicators.
